How To Apply Eye Shadow
Getting the look you want when applying eye shadow is a big problem for many women. I am sure the greatest problem is knowing how to properly apply eye shadow to highlight your eyes.
The trick is using a color that will match the tone of your skin. It is best to use light colors in a neutral tone during the day. If you prefer strong and bold colors save them for a night out.
If you pay a visit to your local cosmetics counter you will find that eye shadows come in many different forms and are available in powders, creams, liquids and pencils. The eye shadow you should choose depends greatly on age, skin type, and desired look. However, there are some things to remember when choosing your eye shadow. Light eye shadow colors highlight the eyes to open them and make them appear wider. Dark eye shadow colors add depth and dimension, making the eyes look smaller.
Learning to apply the eye shadow is a matter of practice. Experimenting with different application techniques and color combinations will help you achieve the look you are going for.
What you need:
3 Eye Shadow colors (light, medium, dark)
Mirror
Eye Shadow Brushes
Liner
Mascara
Makeup remover
Start by applying foundation across your face. Then apply the lightest color of eyeshadow from the lash line to brow. Ivory, beige, nude, peach, and pink are good choices, but other light colors work well. Then apply the medium color from your lash line to the crease of your eyelid. After that apply the darker color in the crease. Finish off by lightly blending the colors with a brush. To finish off apply a thin line of eyeliner along the lash line and add a few coats of mascara to your lashes. YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!
